For many centuries the Churches have wielded immense power.
How this power has been used? To what extent has the Church
used its influence to promote just legislation, to ensure the
efficient administration of justice in impartial courts of law,
and to safeguard human rights and liberties? To what extent
have Churches championed such concepts as natural justice and
equality before the law?
